I may have the opportunity to provide feedback to SYP around policing of Barnsley matches. Are there are any issues, suggestions, improvements you would like to see?

If you would rather PM with these, please do.

Please come with suggestions on how to improve rather than making it a thread slagging SYP :)

Why are all our Derby games 12/12.30 kick offs, when other teams have 3pm or later kick offs.

I'm let to believe that the away end of the West stand + away end has a lower capacity due to the police advice 're health and safety issues- why is this

Seen armed police at games over last couple of seasons - what's the thinking behind this?

    Terrorist threats?

Could the police that are in and around town be less intimidating towards people especially on days of high attendances.. some of the times it is down to that why some people get wound up and boisterous.

Why do they insist on a bobby with a video camera filming us on the walk between the bus station and the Well? I rather thought voyeurism was against the law.

Why at big games are there Transit vans full of them sat troughing burgers?

And as above why the automatic weapons on the streets of Barnsley?

Because they’ve figured tarns a soft touch for the overtime.

Over last few seasons we’ve had in the championship we’ve been the lowest club in terms of crowds yet we’ve consistently had larger numbers of police on duty.

Both Sheffield clubs have had more than their fair share of disorder, down bumhole lane especially..

Whatever happened to the police dogs ?
I remember (I hope) that home v Middlesborough there was a pitch invasion by borough fans stopped by two coppers with police dogs on 15 (?) foot
    leashes .

As mentioned in a previous thread, could they not insist on everyone getting removed from the top corner of the ponty which is killing the atmosphere at oakwell, they’ve been a little more lineant these last few games which in my opinion has seen an improvement in the noise levers. I mean we can’t even buy tickets up that way now.

I sit there most weeks and I’ve not seen any trouble.

However, I’m only going off what the supervisor told me at the game other day that it is a request from the security box where the score board is, I’m not sure wether that’s the police or security.

Deposits left by horses aren't harmful to humans - waste from dogs can blind kids

    I never knew.

Those big piles are absolutely awful when they're right in the middle of a corner when you're on a motorbike though. Horse droppings on the roads aren't limited to just police horses unfortunately.
