Non of the above. Born in Blackpool. Brought up in Barnsley & lived there from age 2 to 21. All my family were born in Barnsley & all but my brother, who like me lives in Leeds still live there.
Like John Peachy, none of the above. Born in Jessops Hospital, Sheffield. Raised from birth in Hoyland. Now live in South Derbyshire.
Born in Udders Feeled. Lived in the Barnsley area for much of my life. Now my nearest stadium is the rusting blue death-trap where you can get a three-year season-ticket to help plug the MASSIVE hole in their finances.
Never lived there,Dad from Tarn and all that side of the family live there but I was brought up with the Thou Shalt Support Barnsley mantra....no feckin choice in the matter lol
Barnsley born, brought up in Brierley, been in Carlton with my wife and family since 1997. Family mainly of mining stock, town area and Grimethorpe especially. Schooled in West Yorkshire, Hemsworth and Featherstone, hope this doesn't count against me!! Two of the lads I go to matches with are Reds fanatics, born in Reading though.
Myres Castle, Auchtermuchty. I stayed further south in Kinghorn for a week. Got a bunch of mates in Edinburgh & it had a train line in over the Forth Bridge.
I know Auchtermuchty Jimmy shand and the proclaimers come from the area. But never heard of myers Castle. Yeah not far from Edinburgh and much cheaper to stay I'd imagine.
I was born in Hemsworth in 1963, as far as I know it was part of Barnsley until 1974 when the boundaries changed, it's now part of Wakefield. Am I a a Tarner or not? I think I am, Heart n soul
Tarn born and bread lived in Athersley North for 30➕ years before moving to Doncaster 12 years ago, stop attending matches about 18 months go mainly due to becoming dissolutioned with the modern game in general the amount of money soured it for me, so much so i very rarely watch any football at all now other than for betting purposes but still keep up to date with what's going on at Oakwell as the fire of passion for the super reds still burns deep in the soul, once a red always a red
