Set up negatively, offered no threat and lost concentration after 70 minutes. Shame really, because Birmingham are as poor a side as we'll meet.

We’re playing far too many elderly died in the wool has beens who’ve been around for too long. We need younger hungry players who will grow into this League. We’ve surely got to change ‘the Plan’ and only sign players under the age of eleven.

Irony's fine but this has been poor from manager and players.

We will reap what we sow. Current recruitment and selling policy is pathetic and needs to change. More fundamentally we need to adopt the Sheff Utd model of management rather than the one we operate. Hands tied behind backs; decisions taken by accountants rather than football managers.

Poor team selection and management cost us the game but a lack of available options had to be considered as a factor. Onwards and upwards.

Pretty much how I saw it. Brum will be nearer the bottom than the top. We can't afford to be sloppy on the edge of our own 18 yard box. Passing it around there is ok, as long as the passing is crisp. The second and third 5 yard pass between Anderson and McGeehan were both unnecessary. I'm not a fan of lumping the ball, but I'm not a fan of passing for the hell of it either. I'm pretty sure, there's a happy medium somewhere in between.

I don’t know who is injured and who is rested but no manager should choose Thiam as Championship level he isn’t good enough. Chaplin and Bahre was never going to work so if Woodrow is injured either Wilks or Miller might have offered something. It was an overly cautious negative team selection so I’m guessing injuries played a large part in that as it’s not Daniel’s style. If pinnilos and Cavare are fit they should be playing.

Everyone is great when they aren't playing, many of this squad aren't championship level bahre was the worst player on the pitch today and Cameron poor too but on paper they are probley the best he has in their positions.
wilks got criticised on here by many Saturday obviously stendel thought the same and gave thiam a chance as brown is still injured, Miller played for the 23s as far as I know he didnt do anything last season in league one and has been no where near the 1st team so far this season.
Stendel said on radio sheffield pinnilos was still lacking fitness, cant comment on cavare.

McGeehan keeps blasting pointless backwards unnecessary passes to players in worse positions than him, and we keep conceding goals because they can't cope with trying to control it.

This is because he lacks appropriate awareness. and the ability to weight passes. And because he makes himself available for the responsibility to balls it up in the first place.

He can't win tbh. But that's because his spatial awareness is not up to it. He can't turn into his own created space.

Some parts of his game are worthy. But his touch lets him down.

Miller is now apparently joining league 2 scunny that tells you the depth of the squad and what stendel has to work with. Shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11.

I think the result Nd performance indicates that maybe the wrong decisions were made. Wish I’d stayed at home. Knew it was gonna be a wasted journey as soon as I saw the team.

What we do know is that the team selected tried hard but lacked even a basic level of creativity.

We know that miller is no where near starting 11 and the bench didnt fill me with any confidence either bar wilks.

Set up negatively? We were trying to throw in the kitchen sink at the start of the second half. Key word is trying though, not succeeding.

I agree generally but team Daniel picked tonight wasn’t as far as I can see the best available. Cavare is easily good enough to be in the starting 11 as is Wilks. Playing 2 midgits against giant Birmingham defenders and hoofing it up to them was poor tactically. Didn’t we sign this Schmidt bloke to provide cover for Woodrow? I get that you disagree but for me Daniel’s inexperience showed. This season will be a massive test. Staying up would be an infinitely greater achievement than promotion.

I never saw us hoof it tonight mcgheehan and mowatt dropped to recive the ball on many occasions we tried to play passing football the midfield passes often went astray and the final balls and movement was poor very little hoofing.

Schmidt hasn't had a pre season in austria they were trying to get him upto speed, woodrow got a knock in training.

Agree about cavare but I thought sibbock was decent tonight.

Agree about wilks but many thought he was poor saturday.

Our squad is weaker than the last time we went down for me with alot less options.

Missed the Fulham game, but I have to say that I haven’t been impressed with Wilks.
