Has anybody got that photo to hand of the reds fans on the away end at Port Vale in the Clarkey promotion season?

Think it was Easter Monday 1979.

Know it's been on here (and other social media) from time to time.

    Thanks in advance

If you're towing I'm sure I've got the Chron's promotion special from that season and it has that pic in it. If so I'll try and scan/photograph it

I got to the match ten minutes late having flown to Heathrow and hired a car to get to Burslem. It was one of the few matches I watched that season due to working in France.

The lad in the middle of the front row holding up the programme is a good mate of mine and he has asked me to try and get a copy of it, he doesn't come on here but he travels with us on Courthouse Reds. Some will know him on here - Steve ('Thoz') Thornton from Darfield

Everyone in that photo looks like they're wearing a scarf and a lot have hats. Very few people seem to wear them now but it looked like it was compulsory back then.

Scarves would usually be around the neck knotted like a tie and the youngsters would invariably have a scarf tied around each wrist as well.
