Portsmouth sign Andre Green from Villa

Fantastic signing for them, they're really going for it.

 

That’s some signing for L1. Thought he would have been in villas team this year but they’re splashing the cash again on players. Seems they don’t really care about FFP.

Would have liked him or that Keinan Davis here, although we seem to be going down the purchase rather than loan route. Which long term is sensible, but if there is real quality out there who could help us get promoted surely that would be sensible too, to compliment our squad. Cummings on loan at Peterborough seems to be their main threat. 1 or perhaps 2 really quality loans could be the difference between automatic promotion or the playoff lottery.

 

Good signing. I think we nee another attacker now, either a forward or a winger to give us extra options. We haven't got a clue how Woodrow will turn out yet, so we've only got Moore who I would class as a trusted League One forward. To be in a promotion race we need more than that. The likes of Moncur, Hedges and Isgrove are all decent options but hardly reliable.

Like many before him he sounds like a promising teenager who”s not quite living up to expectations.
I’m not sure by what criteria he’d be regarded as a fantastic signing at this stage of his career.

 

So you'd splash out on another player we don't know about in case the last one we don't know about doesn't come off?
