It amazes me how senior managers are earning far more that the top doctors in the nhs. A few years ago there was an ad in the chronicle for part time board members at the general 3 days a month salary was a grand a month that’s £333 a day

What about the Tory government that has forced 10 years of cuts on the NHS?

They're not to blame I take it?

What about Labour, when are you going to put the blame on them?

Even accepting your theory about the managers (which I don't) who creates the framework under which they are employed (the Tory Government) and in whose ludicrous operating system do they have to work (Tory Government/Lansley).

A bit excessive keeping bog roll in the freezer isn't it? Still, I suppose it helps after a vindaloo.

The Government took the ordering of equipment out of the hands of the NHS as they didn't want Trusts competing with one another. This has been confirmed on the news today along with the copy of the letter sent to advise Trusts that this was the way procurement was going to be handled.
