Why do we have it? Most of you just switch letters around to avoid it with what seems like no penalty. We are all mostly adult and if not its a footie forum id expect some choice words. I dont often swear and dont feel the need but dont get the filter.

I find it strange that you can't write S****horpe but Penistone is OK.

Slightly off topic, but there's a fictional football team on the Pro Evo games which is named ****urpia, which I've always found quite bizarre.

Did you know that ofcom consider arse and crap to be 'of little concern' and so allowed at any time during the day, **** is only 'potentially' unacceptable during the day but beef curtains and beaver are banned during the day and only 'mostly' acceptable at night.

Narrator: What's that at the back of dispy po?
    Po: Arse
Narrator: oh no, tinky winky is kicking the crap out of po for being naughty.
Narrator: laa laa appears to have **** on the floor but it's ok noo noo is here to suck it up

The funniest thing about that snippet is that "Po" is a slang German word for "Arse".

I'm going to pretend that I'm intelligent and that was a deliberate clever bit of wordplay by me. Honest...
