Turns out I’m daft enough to go to Brentford away. Anyone got any pub recommendations?

Not a clue, but you are not alone I'm off too. How are you getting down? We are on the train from Donny.

Isn't brentford famous for having a pub on each corner of the ground? I've been but it's 10 years ago....

Not been to Brentford or area, but 7 miles away (think you can get a 65 bus) you have Kingston upon Thames. Has several really good pubs. My favourite is the albion which has dozens of beers on draft and the food is really good too. You also have the Boaters Inn just on the river, and the Ram too, you can sit outside but may be a bit bracing. There are dozens of others there too.

May be a bit far for a made dash to the ground, but if you're in the area i'd definitely recommend it and enjoying a tranquil area of the Thames with greenery around it.

The pub on the corner nearest to the away fans turnstile is small, standing room only outside on the pavement. Weather forecast is for it NOT to rain.

It is but one of them is closed so there is only an open pub on 3 corners :)
