And we'd be mathematically safe already.

We had a centre half as good as Roberts and let him go to our relegation rivals

We sold them a dud. Like Leeds did us with Mowatt.

He’s been dropped from the squad already.

Not sure I agree about Roberts making that big of a difference.
Scowen would make a huge difference and we have missed him as much as Connor for my money. I'd say put Scowen and Watkins in and we would be better off.

Roberts is a centre half that won headers. We haven’t got one of them at the moment.

I don't think Angus is as good as Roberts but I do think he's a very good player and what's worse is they formed a formidable partnership which was broken up for no reason at all.

Angus would have been playing for hull yesterday had it not been for the fact he is ill.
“I’ve had a good sit down conversation with Angus, the week before I highlighted in the media conference that we had one or two players that were feeling unwell for the Ipswich game and Angus was one of them. When I got asked about him after the game I just said I should have taken him off in the first minute. Maybe I shouldn’t have started him because of his illness.

Come on be serious now. I liked Gus but he was nowhere near the level of what Roberts was when he was here.

I don’t mind our centre backs at the minute.

Would definitely take Scowen back in the middle though.

Genuinely don’t think we’re missing Roberts at all.

The centre midfield, goalkeeper and fullback positions are the weak points. Yiadom is a must start to rectify one of the fullback positions. I seriously think he’d be our best centre midfield player too.

A scowen type midfielder is needed for next season definitely, no matter what league were in. How much that will cost i have no idea, probably a damn sight more than it would have cost to keep scowen on an improved contract

    I’d disagree fully with that.

Look at the goals we are conceding at the moment. All easily defendable and all at fault one way or another.

Our CHs are in terrible form at the moment. They need to learn how to defend. I wouldn’t care less about passing at this point.

Do the basics first, which they’re failing to do that, currently on at least 3 or 4 occasions a game.

Not having Yids yesterday didn’t help either. Completely bonkers decision.

Scowen has been the biggest miss of the season for me, just what we’ve needed in so many games.

Both Roberts & Angus benefitted from having Scowen & Hourihane in front of them. They fought for everything

The central midfield is the worst I have ever seen us have, it adds absolutely nothing to either attack or defence. It simply sits in and waits to pick up loose balls and then pass them back to our central defenders. Shocking and it’s wound me up all season.

Other people seem to be in the same opinion as me regarding not needing Roberts but needing Scowen but everyone has their opinion I guess.

With the goals yesterday I don’t think you can blame the CBs solely. First goal the crosser had so much time to pick a cross out, why can’t we block a cross from wide?? Accept that Jackson should’ve done better though. Second goal, again the winger had so much time and space. Third goal, Townsend basically gifted them it.

Plus, I think if we had Scowen getting in at opposition our centre halves wouldn’t have anywhere near as much pressure on them constantly.

Not keeping Scowen was a big mistake. He's a better player than anyone we have in midfield. I know Williams has potential, but he's not the finished article. If we'd have had Josh next to him, he'd have looked a lot better.

When we played brum their fans were asking us to take him back. Was good when he was here but been poor at brum and gave away a pen when we played em at st Andrews.

Greedy, avaricious decision to sell Roberts.
