“In the largest outdoor seated venues, where crowds can be spread out, up to 10,000 people will be able to attend (or a quarter-full, whichever is lower)“ that’s about 4.5 thousand without factoring in the west stand and utilising the away end. Yes I know it could be 22nd May not 17th but still after the next lockdown restriction loosening.
As much as I'd love to see live football again, I still have the utterly irrational football fan superstition that a crowd may jinx it
Are you trying to say that my red and white stripey socks that I wear every match day is actually nothing to do with our present form?
and my lucky BFC sweater! don't forget my lucky BFC sweater Plus I've worn my Barnsley FC baseball cap the last two games and it's a 100% win ratio
It has EVERYTHING to do with our current form. Don’t you dare take off those socks. Washing them also feels risky. You can’t be too careful when chasing the promised land.
I thought our capacity was about 23,000 so doesn’t that mean we can have 5750 in? I’ve no idea how many season tickets we have sold but it must be around say 7000? Imagine this will mean that most people with season tickets that wanted to go could go because they will be undoubtably a section of supporters who are unable to go I do not wish to go.
Should be enough seats at least for all + members and some will not want to go for or will not be able to so others will get a chance.
I think between us we’re going to get this team promoted...we better get an invite on the open top bus parade mate
The numbers allowed won’t be a hard and fast percentage of capacity. It will be based on concourse space for social distancing I imagine. Which I think gives us a crowd of 3,750.
lol mate We're doing good between ourselves. Oh and Valeriens' tactical awareness, substitutions and team formations aren't bad either
Do you think there will be a priority for Plus Members over the other season ticket holders? (I`m not a Plus Member)
We don’t know as yet, if we’d be able to have fans should we reach the playoffs. But what I do know is that if there’s none allowed in the first leg, there wouldn’t be any in the second either, as it wouldn’t be fair. Isn’t it lovely though, that this is something you’re wondering?
I was basing that on what the club announced the last time we were close to welcoming supporters back to Oakwell. It was a figure under 4,000 and that was taking in to account no away fans. Was at Elland Road last week (surprised I didn't burst in to flamed as I walked the pitch) and they were saying how it was how many people you could fit on your concourse 1m apart in all directions.
I sort of don't want to get to the end of the season now. I love being in the play off spots with all.the hope that goes with it!
