Davies - Decent decision making, average distribution, quietest Barnsley captain in my years watching them. 7/10

Yiadom - Decent going forward, alright defensively. Not premier league standard. 7/10

Pinnock - Bit slow, but makes up for it with his inch perfect tackling ability. Not my man of the match but a close 2nd. 8/10

Lindsay - Not as solid as usual, still fairly comfortable. 7/10

Fryers - Every other pass ends up in the stands. Still not convinced by him. 5/10

    Hammill - Steady away. 6/10

Gardner - Best performance in a red shirt. Nailed on penalty. 7/10

Williams - getting worse every game for me. Might be getting tired. 5/10

Mallan - Fair debut. Feel he needs to believe in his own ability more. Looked a little raw. 7/10

Isgrove - We don't lose many when Isgrove starts the game. Gave them a torrid time and had he not been switched wings, I reckon one of their right sided defenders would have been sent off. 8/10 MOTM

Bradshaw - chased aimless balls. Got a few flick ons to nobody. Didn't receive a single ball to his feel across the box all game. Can't do any more when we don't play to his strengths. 6/10.

    Enjoy your boxing day.

I think I agree with all of that. I've not been a fan of Gardner but he was a lot more conspicuous today and played well. Izzy is going to be vital to us breaking out of this dry spell in front of goal. Mallan had a good debut and looks to get stuck in a bit more then Moncur, Pinnock I though deserved his MOTM award and was excellent to say it's his second game starting at this level.

Agree with most of that pinnock was my mom though solid as a rock up against a good center half. Pinnock was the best of the 2 center half class performance that tackle in the box 1st half was timed to perfection.
Williams and zeki need replacing come January.

Think you're spot on there. Everyone did 'alright' and that's about it.

I’d struggle to give anyone more than 5 or 6 out of 10. Maybe a 6.5 for Pinnock and Isgrove.

    Davies 6
    Yiadom 6
    Pinnock 6.5
    Lindsay 6
    Fryers 4
    Williams 4
    Gardner 6
    Hammill 5.5
    Mallan 6
    Isgrove 6.5
    Bradshaw 5.

Yes, that's about how I saw it. Might have given Yiadom 5.5, as he wasted the ball too many times today. Williams & Fryers I'd have given a 3, both were bloody rubbish & maybe a 7 for Pinnock & Lindsay, but splitting hairs...

Don't know how pinnock wouldn't have got more than a 6.5 inch perfect tackle in the area 1st half. Solid throughout rarely lost a header against a tough opponent and his distribution was far better than his ball playing partner in Lindsay.

Solid but unspectacular no one on either side was above the bottom side of average. I expect defenders to be able to tackle.

I thought he was standout to be fair wasn't a easy tackle that 1st half before he made it I had visions of a pen n a sending off. Only his 2nd league start this season too and I expect my defenders to be able to pass the ball to a red shirt was far more impressive than Lindsay for me. Thought we defended okay today apart from giving the ball away cheaply and bringing danger on ourself All opinions though mate but looked promising for me.

Had a fine game. Got the timing of those risky tackles absolutely spot on.

When we are good. I say we are good when we are ***** I say we are *****. Yesterday we were average against average opposition. Not everyone wants to give themselves the happy clap. It’s called realism. If you wish to believe that we are the greatest team since Brazil 1970 and that Fryers is a more talented Roberto Carlos that’s your beeswax I’ve always admired blind faith both the band and the idea.
