A small section of Hibs fans staging a protest outside the ground and want him removed. Another tweet here saying he will be sacked in the next 24 hours but could be a load of crap...
I actually feel for him abit he does seem a nice bloke. But now 2nd.bottom 4 points from possible 18 and losing to bottom (before the game) hearts. He will be lucky to be in a job tuesday
Just a paltry 32% win record over the course of 124 games in charge of three different clubs..... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Heckingbottom#Managerial_record
Back room staff somewhere at best, no club would touch him as a head coach or manager after 3 clubs in about 18 months and he took all 3 backwards...
Hecky needs to come back home where its safe. Shove Scotland and Leeds, he can say sorry for getting the monk on and sinking so low. He can start watching the super reds again and ask for a job in the academy under Stendel.
He has probley made abit from 2 sackings leeds had to pay him up and haven't hibs given him a 3 year deal? Cant be bad.
It's an interesting situation with Hecky. I was very critical of him during his final six months at BFC and looking back now was probably a little too harsh on him tbh. Having said that though he went from a positive outgoing coach to really negative and far too cautious. He then took that negativuty and chip on his shoulder to Leeds and their fans fans quickly grew tired of this. You only have to look at what Biesla did last season with near enough the same squad to see how poorly Hecky had them set up. I genuinely wish him all the best at Hibernian and hope he manages to turn it around. Anyone know what Hibs ambitions are for the season? Assuming they would be looking for 4th place and possibly challenging Aberdeen for 3rd. Overall, I have no idea if he's a decent coach, he took over a Barnsley team who'd already got going and had all the momentum but when the going got tough he was found wanting. He then had decent players at Leeds and failed.
You say that but the world of football management is a strange place. We appointed Morais on the back of two very poor spells at his previous clubs, then after taking us down he walked into another job.
