    This is just ******

Some drunken arsehole shouts something stupid at Sam Hamman and "Racism is alive and well" at Oakwell.
    No it isn't.

And all the talk of reporting this to the club is truly pathetic. If you were so outraged why didn't you tell the bloke there and then?

(As for all the Ponty Enders shouting "Greedy Barsteward" at McPhail... as a Greedy Barsteward myself I was truly appalled!)

    actually, no i'm not,

so i'll shove my head up....

apologies, but its getting boring now, so many whos, what fors etc. lost who said what..

its run its course, I was only originally trying to put the point across about being carefull and trying to let the club respond in the first instance before taking it elsewhere etc. blah blah and all that.

and then, I get called racist and everything cos i didn't actually shout out loud and all that crap aswell, somewhere along the lines I got you confused with the original "reportee"

and I don't see why I should have to justify why I am not offended...

    anyways....

No offence, but I would be genuinely interested in why

someone would not be offended by a racist remark. There's no point in discussing that with some of the other people on this board as all you get is abuse and name calling. I'm not trying to trip you up,brainwash you or anything I just feel it is very wrong and offensive to the party involved.

    TBH

    thats just me,

i don't genuinly get offended by people being racist/name calling/abusive to others when its not directed at me or my beliefs etc.

suppose it could be classed as the "igonrant" etc, but, all in all I don't bother with it. if its not "at me" then I say why should I get involved in something I neither agree/nor disagree (if thats the way to put it).

I can perfectly accept why people are offended, and why it upsets people, but like I said, if its not at me, (barring disabled and the defenseless etc) then let them sort it out themselves.

So, like the poor lad who missus has just miscarried, there are more important things in life than getting upset at name calling when it doesn't affect me.

Hope that explains, but thats how I am....

    That's fair enough.

I must say that's exactly how I used to feel about it myself so I can perfectly understand where you are coming from. From my point of view it's only when I experienced racism first hand that I realised how emotive it was and the feelings it aroused in me that has led be to think like I think today.

I hope that explains a bit how I am too.

    Cheers

Nowt else to say is there? I listen to you, you listen to me...

a discussion, 2 people putting their points across in a mature way, each understands the other. That's what it should be like. Nice one. :)
