For reasons of logistics and the Saarrfend game now being 1230 kick off I am going to be at the ground with an overnight bag and laptop bag. What are my chances of being allowed to take these into the ground? I suspect limited........

Give them a bell and explain your predicament. They might allow you to take them to their reception for safe keeping.

Not a clue to be honest but I wouldn't take the risk even if people (fans) told me 100% I'd be able to. It could be worth contacting Southend themselves and asking if they could do something to help out. I'm sure they would let you drop it off at reception and pick it back up afterwards or something if you asked nicely

Because my mate visually impaired, he has quite a bit of contact with opposing clubs to arrange blue badge parking and an ear piece etc.

We find the smaller clubs more accommodating. Email or phone them and I'm sure they'll be happy to help.

Make sense to check wit the club. For what it’s worth i’ve Taken a Rucksack into six away grounds this year. Never gave any notice and no problem getting in.

Ta for this. It's turning into a logistical nightmare. Off to see popular 90s beat combo Dodgy in Brighton on the Friday and what was a leisurely trip by train to Southend then back up north now becomes a right faff. Naturally the trains out of Brighton that weekend are buses......looking like cab to Gatwick and a rush across from there. With luggage in tow. Will email Southend tonight...

Each club is different, each steward is different.

Just this season - Fleetwood checking in wallets - Oxford, walked straight in.
