    This is a football forum.
Whilst you are welcome to chat about whatever you like, threads about sexual exploitation, violence, rape etc are not welcome on this site. Please consider using another forum if you want to discuss sensitive topics, because they only cause trouble. Thanks.

    Terrible use of language admin.
Nevertheless What if it's football related.. can't it be discussed.or should it be shut down too.?

So the news is now banned?

Any news story regarding sex must be censored.
    Anything regarding violence is censored.

    Politics?
    Current affairs?

Seems bizarre that adults cannot discuss things that appear on the BBC website. Surely the logical thing to do is to respond to those making inappropriate comments and not to simply ban entire subjects.

No topics have been banned.Just respectfully asking people to remember that this is primarily a football forum, and certain subjects that are nothing to do with football, bring about responses that can cause problems for the site owner. There are plenty of other sites out there to discuss subjects of a sensitive nature, without getting this one into bother.

But it's censorship and for no reason. Surely you deal with the inappropriate posts not the reasoned debate that the majority are capable of. I've just looked at the BBC news homepage and counted up 11 news stories on the homepage that are now banned from the BBS (being asked not to post them and having them removed in banning regardless of whether it is polite or not). I can't be alone in thinking that banning topics from the BBS just because idiots like young nudger are too immature to respond correctly is not only over the top but also avoiding the obvious issue which is his response not the thread itself.

Going further with the logic you could say that this is primarily a Barnsley site not a general football site and as hemsys posts about premiership football often bring about responses which can cause problems then talk about the premiership should be banned.

I do fully understand that some posts can cause problems for the site owner but I believe banning news stories from being discussed by adults just to avoid having to deal with the few individual out of order posts is completely the wrong way to do things. The amount of posts on the BBS has declined significantly over the last few years, provoking debate is surely something that should be encouraged not avoided.

    1. Posts that could cause Gally trouble are removed/ edited/ censored.
    2. As said previously, no topics have been banned.
    3. As has been pointed out, there are other more appropriate sites to debate these things - use those.
    4. No topics have been banned
    5. "Idiots like Nudger" (your words) and other controversial posters are fuelled by people who light the touch paper and stand back. Who could that be?
    6. No topics have been banned.

People can have reasoned debates about sensitive subjects.

You think my post was lighting the blue touch paper and standing back? Seriously? You think that? You need to stop with your predetermined views of certain posters affecting how you run site admin

Ok I'm done. Enjoy your site

May I just make an observation ... some on this site give the air that this site is far too clique-y, it's an internet forum not the local wmc or whatever

Have you not read all the above? There are more appropriate sites. Try Room 101 perhaps! But then that is on telly as well isn't it. Sorry I mentioned it. Please don't ban me

So the decision has been made then to blame the behaviour of the spanners like Nudger, Hemsy and RedKestrel on people that you decided are lighting the paper and standing back? rather than blaming it on what you can actually see aka. the idiots that are nothing but WUM ruining this forum.

And I rely on Grandfathertyke to tell you what that means (and why I have probably used it incorrectly!)
