I was unable to go to the game last night annoyingly which is a real shame considering we won.

I have been reading some of the threads on here and seen we apparently played well and the seen the short highlights package on Sky sports but can some kind people please give me a little run down of how we did, good points, bad points, stand out performers etc?

All the team played their part. Davies with crucial saves, Mcarthy was superb, Jackson much improved, Angus steady, Pearson ok but jury still out, Hammill and Hedges fabulous, Potts improving slowly, Moncur off it last night, Williams decent and Bradshaw a nuisance all night and ran his blood to water. Hairy stuff but stood firm.

    thanks,

McCarthy sounds like a great buy, and very shocked to see how well Hedges is doing at the moment but long may it continue!

Delighted that Bradshaw is really playing well too, was over moon when we signed him and expected big things but he of course didn't have the best season last year and has come under scrutiny from some on here but really glad he is doing well.

Glad to hear the defence showed improvement as was a little concerned after the first few games that we were shipping to many poor goals

Just concerned about Pearson at the minute. Seems to tuck in to more of a central position which leaves gaping holes for the opposition down their right. Happened in both home games now. A decent right winger would tear us a new one

hopefully he adapts quickly and steps up, heard some say he looks like he would be better playing at centre back?

I still think we need another proper left footed left back, we have fryers who I was not impressed with in the games I have seen him in, but we need a second left back to provide cover and competition.

Would definitely be looking for another natural left back

me too for sure, not sure who is around that we could get but would 100% be looking for another naturally left footed option there

Tbh I didn't think the defence were any better than Saturday the fact that Forrest scored less goals came down to finishing imo.
Sure we did plenty of last ditch tackles but we did against Ipswich also .

Well hopefully will see some improvement soon then, think Lindsay could improve us when he gets back and having an actual left back option in fryers could help too.

I think we'll definitely see some improvement as the team gel and different combinations and tactics deployed, Hecky will see to that .
