Oh dear oh dear Follow Paul Chuckle on twitter. Must have been unexpected. He only mentioned the other day that Barry was at home in Rotherham.
very sad, my son loved the chuckle brothers , hope I do not go out after a 5 - 1 drubbing , R I P Barry
I genuinely thought this was gonna be a joke about Rotherhams result yesterday. I was only watching their brand new (pre recorded) show last week, you've been framed sort of thing. Very sad. RIP.
Sad news. I have to say I really liked Chucklevision as a kid in the early 90’s. I guess silly slapstick was likely to appeal to me at that age but they were masters of it. Didn’t know until years later that they really were brothers - and it was their older brothers generally playing the bosses of the daft jobs they got every episode. Proper family making proper family tv. 73 is no age really these days either.
Loved Chucklevision as a kid too. Thought I saw him a couple of times walking round Calder Grove/ Durkar near to Kingfisher actually @Durkar Red however was driving so may have been an excellent doppelganger unless you know otherwise?!
Sad news indeed. Good clean harmless comedy. One of them, (could be Paul) had a large property on the outskirts of Haxey on the Isle of Axholme. Don't know if that is still the case though. RIP Barry.
R.I.P. Barry Elliott aka Barry chuckle. One half of my favourite actors along with his brother Paul Elliott aka Paul Chuckle. I am gutted as I grew up watching both the chuckle brother's and will never forget Barry or Paul as they both were and always will be a huge part of my childhood growing up.Thank you for the memories Chuckle brothers, they will always stay with me.R.I.P Barry Chuckle Paul and Barry Chuckle two of British TV's great actors and both legends. R.I.P. Barry Chuckle, you will be sadly missed .
Good show is that. I'm going on holiday to Scandanavia. Norway? Yes way, I wouldn't lie to you. Supposedly going on Celebrity Big Brother in a few weeks, so it seems very sudden and unexpected.
Working as a carer full time I know what it's like to lose someone important and special to you , but I also know how to deal with it a lot better since been a carer for five years and was a carer for the Barnsley FC legend , our Barnsley FC legend Norman Rimmo Rimmington before he sadly passed away. It was a real honour and pleasure to care for Norman. Anyway R.I.P. Barry Chuckle and Norman Rimmo Rimmington , two amazing legends , who will never be forgotten.
It's been disclosed that Barry had kept secret from his brother and other close family the fact that he was suffering from a rare cancer. Apparently, he told his nearest and dearest that the pains in his legs were being caused by sciatica and insisted on working through the pain he was undoubtedly suffering right up to the very end. What a trooper and what a man for not wanting his family to be constantly worrying about him.
See that to respect him on Saturday the Rotherham fans are going to say TO ME and the Ipswich fans TO YOU for a minute instead of a minutes silence or applause, which I think is great. BBC have put on iPlayer the full last series of Chucklevision too. Great way to respect him and a chance for youngsters to see it for the first time.
