Am I alone in thinking that Rochdale played under something of a handicap tonight and effectively had only eight players?

Their team sheet shows Jimmy McNulty, David Perkins and Matty Done. No team should have to struggle with these three in the starting eleven.

The only surprise is that Baldie Mourinho hasn’t added Scott Wiseman to the squad.

Thought Both Perkins and Done were ok for us, particularly Done prior to us turning down £75000 from Palace. Perkins gave his all

Exactly, hope this board doesn’t start to turn into an opposition bashing forum this season, especially if current form is an indication as to how the season might pan out. Let’s not go all Dee Darr and let’s show opposition more respect, like many on here already do I hasten to add.

There was a lot of disquiet among a lot of fans if memory serves about the offer and as soon as we refused he went all *****

My memories of Perkins was that he was alright for us. Must caveat that with 2 points though:
    1) My memory's crap
    2) I know nowt about football.

I think I must remember the Matty Done that played for us after the 750K was turned down

Smashing club. I admire them a lot. Try to play football and make the most of what they have got. Can’t knock em though I still hate Hill.

Well that’s me told then. Not so much a lack of respect (particularly when I’ve seen us dicked there in the early 70s) more an observation on Keef and his favourite sons.

They seem to be a lovely club. The sort I would wish well if they didn't have that fool as manager.

There is just something about Spotland that I like.

We wouldn’t have kept this side together in the Cryne era.
All the players would have been sold and a new batch on one year contracts brought in.

We are starting to build a football team now - after 14 years of waiting.
One thing that Patrick did well was to appoint good managers.

Keef and Flicker were good managers for us - unfortunately they were managing Barnsley at a bad financial time at the club.
Shopping at Aldi and all that (or was it Lidl?).
Given the right financial backing they would have both done really well.

    Keef. Good manager. Right.

    Maybe, but not at Oakwell.

Flicker had a Kings ransom of a budget at Bury and did **** all with it. Useless manager. Good tub thumper.
