Always like him in The Persuaders as Lord Brett Sinclair. They've been repeated recently on one of the Freeview channels and I watched a few.

Interesting seeing all the old "standard telly actors" from the 60s and 70s appearing in programmes like this, either as English villains, foreign baddies or government officials. Tony Curtis hammed it up as well as Danny Wilde but Roger Moore outplayed him.

Here's a reminder - great John Barry theme music:

Aww I was a big Roger Moore fan in the 70s because of James Bond, 007!! :)
My earliest memories of going to the pictures in those days was at the old Wakey 'cinema' (the one on the corner, round the back of what used to be Tesco's and now is Wilko's!!).
Roger was Bond of course and he took the character to something else actually, something different to what the Bond & Connery fans were used to.
I saw the 'Live and let die' & 'The man with the golden gun' & 'The spy who loved me' & 'Moonraker' Moore/Bond films there. Great memories for me as a kid, and as this was the late 70s, I hadnt even become a Barnsley fan yet at that time! :p
