    Oh yes, I always got the same thing out of the vending machine, they were like mini chedders with cheese like paste in the middle I can't for the life of me remember what they were called, sithi.

    I think I know what he means ,they were like a sandwich of biscuits with a cheese middle bit like a custard cream only round and about size of a 10p ,
    You used to get them in wmcs as well

    Hot chocolate and a striper from vending machine if all your change hadn't all fallen out of metal basket. There and back from Darton on my Raleigh burner.

    You've just explained my life has a young'un, except I'd have curry sauce with my chips and sausage, also I remember you had to walk through a ankle deep dip pool before you could get in the pool :)

    20 minute walk from Carlton nip thru kirk cross crescent try not to get beat up by the Roystoners. Baths then if we'd any money left call at Sungari .

    Spot on pal, walking down side of pack horse up thru kirk cross with chips sausage & curry hoping not to get chased by Roystoners....I still do that walk from Carlton :)

    i remember it well ..being a conductor then dual crew driver followed by the joys of one manning ...God am old...lol...is this bus going to Jump..it is ..well hold it darn young un til a gerron....if you heard it once you heard it a 1,000 times....best quick witted reply i ever had was when i pulled up at the star in Cudeth and unfortunately due to almost being full i could on let about 4 on....How long will next bus be driver i get asked...about 39 ft 6 i joked...and before i could say anything else the old dear ( twirly ) says ...Yeah but will it have a sh 1t house on it like this one has....lol


    Twirly affectionate name for a pensioner who wanted to use their free bus pass before the allotted time....am a tuh early driver...really what majorette troupe are you in then love...

    My mate got kicked out of Donny baths for taking a pi*s in't deep end.
    He tried reasoning with the lifeguard by saying " everybody pis*es in't watter man."
    Lifeguard wasn't having any of it he said " aye but they don't do it off top splash board
    ger art yer dirty sod" and barred him.!

    Harry, the well known driver who always drove the Kendray, Bank End and Worsborogh routes actually game me one that was broke when I were a kid. He was a top fella. I used to have the get the Bus to my Grandad's house daily to check on him, and because Harry knew him well he used to let me on for free on the proviso I told my Grandad he had asked about him...

    Not caught a bus for about 10 years now so assume he's retired, but I often wonder if he's still with us...

    I was shocked the last time i caught the bus it was £2.80 from royston to town typical of privatization rob the punter
