What the heck happened to him ? Only about 90 league appearances in his career, this from the youngest ever player to play in the league.
I had great hopes for him , but it seems he cant even get a regular game for Rochdale !!
He had pace and skill, plus a wicked shot, so what went wrong ?

I think much of the issues here were down to his attitude, similar to Kpekawa. Not sure if that's the issue at Rochdale but I think it was the cause of his departure from Oakwell.

I get the impression that the way he’s grown up hasn’t helped him. He’s got a quality touch and can hit a ball, but he’s ended up a pretty stocky guy without any real pace. Not helped him.
He’s out with a long term injury at the minute I think.
Shame, I always really wanted him to do well at Oakwell!

I think at the time a lot of people thought he'd been pushed in the team so early o deflect critiscism from Simon Davey and as he grew older he just couldn't handle it.

Davey pretty much ruined him using him to deflect away from the heat he was getting at the time. Other coaches had to pick up the pieces from that.

Some people just reach their potential earlier than others. That said not many make any living from football so he's hardly a failure.

I don’t think the issues his attitude, his body can’t hack it.

He’s not been at a club this season, had an operation at the back end of last season & didn’t get his contract renewed. I don’t think he’s fit even now.

Hopefully he will get back to full fitness & be able to get a few trials & hopefully a league club

Woman at work, from Huddersfield knows his dad as her son was in the Academy at the same time as RNL. She was telling me only last week about his injuries and that Rochdale would offer him a short-term contract if he could prove his fitness.
