http://readceltic.com/2018/03/16/celtic-line-move-barnsley-right-back-andy-yiadom/ Just a rumour but thought I'd post it. Can't see him signing a new deal here
If he wanted to stay here he would already have signed a new deal so I am certain he will be off somewhere. Celtic gets him European football and fairly easy league games and he will win some medals - could be a good move for him. Expect Swansea to be back in for him and possibly one of the promoted clubs this season. Depends if he wants to play prem football in a struggling side or is happier with what Celtic would offer. Dont really care to be honest - as long as he doesnt go to Leeds or Cardiff
The way I see it there’s only one logical move for the way his careers mapping out. Barnet to Barnsley to Barncelona
Honestly I would be happy with that. No Championship team and get to see him play some Champions league footy
Honestly I’ve got a lot of respect for him. Spent a year in a job where he wants to leave and still gives his all every single week. Good luck to him. Personally hope he gets a prem move because I think he could cut it.
I agree got some stick from a fair few when he wanted a move to the prem. Failed the medical but always gives 100% even though he most likely won' be here next season. Best scince eaden for me good luck to the lad.
I agree. Big club but taking sweets off kids most weeks. They're not the club for a player to test themselves. It' would just be like joining in with the bullies hitting the smaller kids.
One newspaper I've seen today is saying the following. " Paul Heckingbottom wants to begin reshaping Leeds by making Oli McBurnie his first signing. Heckingbottom is planning a summer swoop for the Swansea striker, who will end the season at Championship strugglers Barnsley. He aims to snap up Leeds born McBurnie after bringing him to Oakwell in his last deal as Tykes chief. The Whites boss fears losing striker Pierre-Michel Lassoga when the Germans loan period ends in May and McBurnie, is seen as the ideal replacement." In a separate piece I saw that Swansea could make McBurnie available at £900 k. Surely with our new owners, we should be able to compete with Leeds in securing McBurnie on a permanent deal.?
A move to Celtic would be a good move for Yiadom. He would have almost all the attackers in that league in his pocket. He would be guaranteed Champions League football. They have no worries paying wages . He would win medals with them and I think it would make his international career too.
During the close season before we were promoted to the Premiership, by pure chance, Danny brought in five experienced players in Paul Wilkinson, Neil Thompson, Jovo Bosancic, Matty Appleby and Clint Marcelle and later on recruited John Hendrie. Miraculously, they all managed to gel with the other players on our books, to eventually play some of the best football I personally have ever seen at Oakwell. If they are true to their word in wanting to fund a tilt at getting us back to the Premiership, surely our new owners have got to show some ambition.? To my mind, if we survive in the Championship, this season, they've got to target some better quality players proven at that level for next term. To underpin that ambition, they would need to provide the funds to sign and pay the likes of McBurnie and at least, have a try at making an offer to Yiadom that he can't refuse. If he sees that we are really serious in reaching the Premiership, who knows, he just might decide that his future does lies at Oakwell after all and commit to our efforts in achieving that aim.
I agree with that if we stay up we will see the new owners ambitions in the summer failure to at least try and sign mcburnie and yiadom will show we have little ambition to get back to the premiership for me at this moment in time this two are the best two on our books.
I’m sure Yiadom will leave, but we should offer him a really good deal to try and make him stay! Our best player.
