Club in 21st position: 2010 49 2011 48 2012 48 2013 55 2014 44 2015 46 2016 49 Rotherham look gone, but for various reasons all the remainder of the current botom 10 teams can be expected to put up a major fight. I therefore reckon safety is probably going to be around 50 points this season. We'd therefore need another 12 points, which is certainly not a given without Hourihane.
Personally I think the perceived idea the club have of us already securing safety is ultimately behind the decisions to cash in now
Just what I've said. But we've surrendered our chance at the playoffs by selling our best players to the team we would likely need to beat to 6th. A worrying lack of ambition.
were far from safe. last seasons run should remind us of that no reason why it couldn't happen other way round,
2011/12 when Vaz te, Drinkwater and Butterfield left the squad. 25 games 33 points. Stayed up only as a result of Portsmouth having ten points deducted. 2016/17 25 games 38 points. It should be enough with four wins and a draw.
Plus Hecky won't feel sorry for himself like Hill did either. But could be touch and go, we will see.
Take it easy twillo let's see how the cards have landed in a couple of weeks time.
I'm sorry but... Go F*** yourself. This club has given us the best 12 months in our history. We're 8th in the table above teams like Villa who can buy players that are probably alone bigger than the value of our club. I find it highly insulting that after all the hard work lit club has put in on and off the field over the last 12 months that you can turn round and call them a joke. Go support a team like Chelsea/Man Utd. Alternatively go support a team like Portsmouth, Bolton, Coventry. Our club has policies to safe guard us from making financial errors that harm our future existence. If not offering the likes of Winnall and Hourohane 20k a week is one of them policies - then so be it.
