The following question or point was raised on here recently..... " Who cares ? (why the continued fascination with Winnall & the Fowls ?) " And that question is still relevant today!
Neither he's just sixth choice striker and with no injuries or suspensions there is just not space for him.
the sale and transfer of sammy the snake showed everything that is wrong with modern football.Sheff weds get a rich owner and suddenly they can take winnall, pay him 18k a week to not even get on the bench, its fcukin wrong, end of..Players who a nicked in the january transfer window like he was should have to start a minimum percentage of games at their new club, either that or stop the farcical transfer window full stop. not many teams get strengthened by mid season transfers but its a certainty that others get weakened, you only have to look how poor we've been since january.,its been terrible for us. you cant blame a player for wanting the extra cash but it shows how far removed football is from real life,it really is a law to itself and until summat changes, which it probably wont i've finished with it.
Because of the way he has fallen from favour since his throwing his Peppa Pig out of the pram at Oakwell, I have wondered if the management at Fowls were not too impressed and whether that has influenced the decision not to play him. Maybe he was only ever signed as a stop-gap to cover for Fletcher and until Hooper was fit again. He is on good money, but I wonder if he is now wondering if that is all which matters. We were good for him and his development and I have this feeling that he may never reach again the heights he did with us. It shows how well our management did in developing him and keeping him on track. It will be a waste if he ends up back in division one, or the like. He must be regretting now the way he (and his agent) managed his departure from Oakwell.
I'd guess he's not given it a minute's thought. I'm convinced he will end up at the Blunts next season
Because if not for his move I don't think hourihane would have been as tempted to move til the end of the season either and we would be significantly better off in terms of league position. He is relevant because he started the chain of events that will leave us in serious trouble next season without plenty of luck. Not that all that isn't the clubs fault for letting the players get to the position that they have that much power
