We are away for a few days in the Lake District and yesterday he became very ill with what has turned out to be a big recurrence of his laryngitis paralysis problem. I thought we had lost him in the night. The local vet had him as an emergency this morning and has had to give him steroid injections to help him. Fortunately it has apparently helped him no end but he is being kept in overnight to guard against problems. Not what you want on holiday. Anyway, we are hoping and praying for his recovery. He is fifteen and a half so we cannot expect miracles but we will not allow him to simply fade away if there is a chance. He is a fighter and has had good health in the main so far, or has recovered from his traumas very well, but it was so distressing last night to watch him suffering before we had the chance to help him.
My missus bought a little Lhasa Apso last January ( Henry ) so I can sympathise with your feelings. From previously not having a pet or even like dogs I've grown to love that little mutt. Don't know what I'd do without him. Thoughts are with you and your family and here's hoping that Brad recovers and continues to lead a happy life.
