Didn't Kieffer get 19 in that....Good omen.
Is he available to play on Saturday? He wasn't involved on Tuesday and not seen anything mentioned at all.
Maybe he still needs international clearance.....?
Stendel said not ready yet for Saturday.
if he has been alloted a squad number then he will be registered at the FA. Therefore I would assume he has clearance.
Disappointing.....with Woodrow looking out form.
Tonge mentioned something about his old clubs pre-season routine being out of kilter with ours .......... to the extent he is doing extra training to get him up to speed. Not ready yet.
maybe a couple of games with the under 23's might help him along the way.
I seem to remember Knasmüllner not being ready either.
When we signed him, it was mentioned it would be a few weeks getting him up to speed. On that basis, I’d not expect much sight til September, just to be prudent.
Why do I feel like this will turn into the same tedious comments when Woodrow was "2 weeks away" from loads on here?
It'd be nice if Schmidt could have the similar initial impact that Woodrow did though.
True, but a man of his age should be at least fit enough for a 20 minute cameo ....... give the fans something to cheer about after Tuesdays debacle
If he’s not up to speed tactically and fitness wise, I can’t see anything good from rushing him into the squad
True, apart from:
Or something else to moan about ;-)
four games till the end of august, then an international break. No need to rush him.
Good job luke Steele was ready in an instance when it was required at anfield so why can't a striker do half hour if needed.
Not sure he's out of form. Out of luck maybe.
Lone striker syndrome. Reminds me of Bradshaw.
Why in the name of all that is f*cking holy did we (sell a first-team ready striker and) sign him..............
That’s the question I can’t honestly can’t get past. We have deliberately weakened our squad on an unknown quantity in the hope he’s going to be better eventually.
