Listening to Radio Sheff re sending off on Saturday Keith Edwards made out Clark was innocent - just seen it on the highlights and he tries to strangle Gus - thus sparking the non head butt reaction. What's he on?

I was following the bbc thread of the match. Initially they said they couldn't work out what happened. A few minutes later they had a pic of Clark with his hands round Angus' neck. Suggested Angus moved his head towards the player but didn't make contact.

I don't think there are many who wouldn't snap if they were grabbed like that. Instinctive nature to try and stop someone blocking your air intake!

Certainly looks like a long time holding his throat.

Don't think either side will be appealing.

He apologised at half-time after seeing the replays and said Clark had been stupid and deserved to go.

The ref looks to be speaking to the assistant ref before producing the red card, I'm wondering why the flag wasn't raised sooner for the throat grab which would have prevented the retaliation if the linesman was watching.

I got the feeling from some of their calls that they were a bit wary of us before the game and were surprised how poor we were on the day.

Apart from their views on the sending off, I don't think there was anything I could disagree with really.

They did what was expected of them and we didn't.

well the Guys on "football on 5..the championship" said it was a deffo red card for both. They have no reason to be biased either way IMHO

My first instinct was both were going to be sent off for it. Even though the grab seemed more severe than the reaction, both warranted a red card for their actions.

From what I saw on the replays on the Channel 5 show
    Gus defended well against Clarke
Clarke had a kick at Gus and grabbed him
Gus turned and flailed an elbow at him
Clarke Grabbed Gus by the throat
Gus stuck his head at Clarke

Both deserved red cards, Gus needs to wise up or people like Clarke will be getting him sent off whilst staying on themselves
He had a couple of tangles in the Ipswich games as well

He's not one for letting facts get in the way of his opinion. Do you remember when Derek Parker said to him when they were expert summarises at a previous derby game " Keith, read the rule book".
