Long scored the fastest goal in greed league history last night. The full 25 years of it. Yet again the BBC headlines are consigning to the dustbin 100 and odd years of top level football that predate this hyped up moneyfest we now have to suffer. With special reference to Micky Finn is there nothing to be done about this slow erasure of the game's history?
The funny thing is that despite the drooling, the BBC can't include a clip of the goal in their story. Just watched it on YouTube though. Good finish, but essentially a defensive ****-up. I prefer this one. A proper goal.
I listened to BBC 5 live on the way back. The build-up to Chelsea / Burnley was cringeworthy. All about 6 clubs as if no other existed. Then it was Hazard this, Kepa that, Sarri, Sarri, Sarri. It was almost as if somebody had to prompt them Burnley were there, with a token ten second "yeah, they are doing OK" piece before going back to the big-6 love-in. Sky still shade it for me though with their elite-ist ****** week on week.
Aren't we guilty of the same thing here, banging the "record points" drum.. Shouldn't we have said while it's been 3 points for a win. We played near on hundred years with two points for win remember.
The people on here moaning about the BBC must be Daily Mail readers, who have an ongoing vendetta against the 'Beeb'. The revenue the BBC gets from the license fee 'pales into insignificance' when compared to SKY and its subscriptions and revenue from betting. Sky should be so much better, but it's not.
Whoa there. I'm usually one of the Beeb's defenders on here. They're superb in most things they do. My only reason for singling them out is that I don't expect any better from the likes of Sky. P.s neither was I having a go at Micky Finn. I'd just be interested in his take on things.
I don't read the Daily Mail, and Sky have never had a penny out of me. And I hate the BBC. Or, rather, I hate their enforcement goons, Crapita, and by extension despise the BBC for permitting them to harass people who've not done a thing wrong other than have zero interest in the BBC's services. It isn't my fault if the BBC don't force you to input a license number (or similar technology) before the gamut of soap operas and repeat comedies become available to view. Just because anybody *can* view it doesn't mean they want to. They should scrap the license fee and desist bothering people.
