Genuine question, if they don't go up? Are they proper in the **** financially? Surely what they're paying isn't sustainable on the crowds they get? Fletcher 35k, Forestieri 30k, Hunt 22k, Winnall 18k etc. Spent millions on others. Abdi cost about £3.5m & can't get a look in for example. I must be missing something. If I was a Wednesday fan I'd be deeply concerned that they seem to be going **** or bust for promotion. Reminds me of Leeds when they were top at Christmas & blew further money in January gambling on champions league but ended up bottling it & dropping down the table & I think we all know what happened next.
And that Hutchinson's just signed a new deal & they paid in the region of £4m for Reach from Boro. Crackers
I don't think they are , certainly in the short term , I think I'm right in saying Chansiri has written the Club debt off , which if true is a pretty fair deal from a foreign owner .
Are they in the ****? Let's just say I wish we were in half as much **** as they are. Cos with our recruitment and coaching staff we would be 10 points clear of Newcastle at this stage
You would love a foreign owner who doesn't give a **** about the club *****ing money about left right and center wouldn't you. what would happen if we didn't go up?
Not really But I would love to see a owner at Barnsley with money to compete in the Championship who was able to entice Conor and Sam in the summer to extend their contracts by a year - and who also was brave enough and had enough funds to invest, not in the established players, but in players that might make the grade like Armstrong, Kent and Isgrove. Now that would be nice
It's only a few years since they nearly went bust and here they are again spending money like there is no tomorrow. It may be a different owner but this kind of spending is unsustainable surely, especially if they don't go up. I hope it all goes tits up for them.
I would like to inform you that your getting closer breaking that record you cheap striving and one day your crap wind ups will be recognised with greatness
Their owner is a very rich man and a clever businessman. He sees a good fanbase, lots of potential and the riches of the Premiershit. While ever he remains switched on and interested they will be fine.
We can but hope. Lack of self awareness by their fans has brought me a whole new level of contempt for the crowd size obsessed fcuknuts.
They won't go bust, but they definitely won't go up. Nailed on. Too many good sides with more momentum than them up there. Shame to lose our lads, obviously, but it'll be funny as **** when the Wendies have to play their two league games against us next season. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I don't think they will go up, which means Carlos will get the sack, then it's back to square one, new manager, wants his own players, more money chucked at it, less patience from their owner, the next manager sacked , rinse and repeat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's the family that's rich $700 million according to Forbes, he's one of two sons. So his wealth is less than that, it's not much compared to other owners in this division. This could all end nicely in a few years time if they fail to make it to the promised land.
