    Just been on Chris Evans breakfast show. Evans mentioned Vespa, and she hadn't a clue what he was talking about.

    Vespa scooters? Still hadn't a clue.

    Ridden by mods? Mods and rockers?? "Sorry I don't know that story"

    She's 58 years old. How can you not know what a scooter is?

    Bizarre!

    She obviously led a sheltered life - she is older than me and I know what mods rockers and Vesper scooters are mind you I watched Quadrophenia - It was all in the 60's though a long time ago now. Wonder what else from the 60's she knows nothing about - do you think she ever heard of a popular beat combo called The Beatles

    There was also a big Mod revival in the late '70s although this seems to have passed her by too.

    Me too mate. I have a good mate who was into The Jam, Secret Affair and the like and I just loved the music so got into the scene with him. He still has a Vespa now and goes all over on scooter rallies.

    I did have a secret soft spot for ABBA too but don't tell anyone.
