We need another striker a couple of wide men and cover at right back for me Williams doesn’t fit the bill. Yes he had some good games last season but don’t think he’d improve on what we currently have in there and he’d be too expensive to be a squad player.

I know a man with no legs. He doesn’t go on many long walks, but he’d love to if only....

Opposition managers know that. They know how narrow our team is and set up accordingly. We've not looked like scoring in our last two away games. With Isgrove out of favour I hope a couple of wide men are brought in this month.

To be fair though, our last two games have been against a team unbeaten at home all season, and a premier league side, with Moore missing from majority of both.

Looking forward to us smashing plenty of goals in against struggling Wimbledon then :D If someone is interested in Isgrove it would be good to see a couple of wingers brought in.

As already mentioned mate, I don't think Stendel is sold on the idea of wingers. Could be wrong but I can't see him going down that route.

Seems to like players that work hard and can pop up in several positions and has Cavare providing width on our right.

Admirable of him to adopt a fluid style that you would expect from the top clubs, but not having specialists in wide positions does show in our final ball quite a bit I agree.

Also, as average as Burnley were on Saturday, they did have to quality to hit the back post on several occasions in the 2nd half, and we struggled with that.

Our crosses and corners seem to be more hit and hope.

Well it's about time we did. First time we had two decent forwards in years and id much rather see attack play like Newport goal against Leicester than the tippy tappy sideways or back to Lindsay then to pinnock. Need to be far more intense and faster attack play.

Under Stendel's system, the full backs pressing on provide the width & hopefully decent crosses. It means you need good cover from holding midfielders for the defence. With Mowatt & Dougall we have that. The quality of balls in could be better, I agree, but we aren't doing half bad offensively this season (or defensively). It might mean there could be some grounds for us signing an extra holding midfielder... Just a thought.

Has anyone heard the reports , that Gerry McDonagh who we
signed from Notts Forest, has left the Club after his contract has expired.?
Think he came to us in August 2018 and was then loaned out to Aldershot.?
Can't see anything on the Clubs website, but a mate of mine says he's left.!
