Not had a pass go to a white shirt yet. Small complaint in a night of poor poor football from the lads.

As bad an individual performance as I've seen in a long time. He wasn't happy when he was brought off, I hope it was frustration about his performance as opposed to being annoyed at the gaffer, as he can have no complaints at being hooked.

Just awful. I can understand people slating Schmidt's performance, however, Simoes has comfortably been the worst player on the pitch (quite an accolade). He looks nowhere near good enough for this level.

I think he will be but obviously today is not his day and I think it right the change was made.

Thing with schmit is he was **** v watford and a total passenger and tonight he has been awful aswell. He could bring out a Netflix series upon retirement how to impersonate a footballer by Patrick schmidt

Both been awful, but I think Simoes has been much worse tonight. Neither good enough on recent showings.

Simoes needs to learn how to do the simple things. Every time he either holds onto the ball too long or try’s to produce a flash pass.

Simoes is a young kid we paid peanuts from non league for he was playing 23s beginning of last season.
We paid a reported 1million pound for schmidt v watford he was totally anonymous and was subbed tonight 2 moments stood out giving the ball away in good positions on the edge of the box . One instead of holding the ball up and wating for players he did a stupid back heel straight to a cardiff player.

I'm not making excuses for simoes he is still raw but if schmidt ever makes it as a championship player I'll be shocked. 1million pound striker they must have seen us coming.

It’s a bit tough to identify individual players. To be frank, those two wins have just obscured a lack of quality throughout the whole squad.
It doesn’t mean we can’t get out of the mess we’re in, after all this league is ridiculously poor - in spite of the hype - it just means we should lose sight of our many limitations.

All down to starting XI selection, didn't look balanced on paper let alone on the pitch. Yes we've got injuries but if it was a punt why not try a youngster who's used to playing at right back/wing back. Schmidt the experiment is over he isn't good enough to run and hold the line. Miller did better on Saturday start him in a prove it move.
Bad result, Val should have learned a lot more tonight than last 2 games.

I get you don't like Schmidt. And I'm not arguing that if he did cost 1 mil it is seeming like a massive waste of money. However, cost aside, I have seen Schmidt play very well in one game (Boro away in cup) and Simoes play one good half (QPR away). Other than that I've seen glimpses from both which suggest they could be decent players. Schmidt scored some very well taken and very important goals last season. Simoes has also scored a very important goal and has shown some flashes of pace and trickery in his cameo appearances. But at the end of the day, they're both probably a bit ****.

It's not I dont like the bloke I'm sure he is a nice kid which I get that from most of our lads. I just dont rate him very highly and i think his last 2 games i would have been just as effective as it was like having a player down. I dont think either would get in any other championship side.

Yeah not suggesting it's owt personal, we all have players we don't fancy. I was willing to give Schmidt a shot this season, considering the chances he took last season and his performance against Boro. However, I'll admit I might have been wrong to hold such hope. Both need to improve massively to play in championship. Same for Miller and Victor.

Simoes has been hauled off before the 2nd half a few times from what I can remember. He must be a great trainer. I get he's scored a couple for us but you really do have to ask if he's going to be good enough at this level. Way too many performances of this nature for him.

Hes still only young. He was head and shoulders above when playing for u23s, I'm sure he will come good but he needs to learn fast.

It’s hard to compare our own players vs each other. These are young players and may develop, that’s the aim. However we have to be honest, Simoes may have been worst of a bad 3 in this game. He couldn’t make a single pass. Schmidt just wasn’t in the game. The most worrying is Chaplin who after a long run and many mins on the pitch does not seem to be developing or improving at this level. Chased a lot of shadows as a contribution yesterday but wasted a lot of possession too. Ineffective front 3.

Or if he cant do the simple things just hide on a football pitch and dont get involved for 70minutes and hope no one notices him like one of his team mates seems to do frequently.
