but more to the point do we really need to do so? I would rather use what we got, and use our development squad if needed. I feel we would better developing our own rather than other teams youngsters

Think the squad is good to go. The only two things I would like to see would be a better winger than we have already. As well as Potts and Thiam have started, and we have Izzy on the bench I just think left wing is an area we could improve.

And finally a 4th striker, who could really push Moore and Bradshaw, or cover if/when either are tired/injured/suspended. Victor has done brilliantly. Not just the goals but he’s looked strong and with a good touch, but I wouldn’t want to put too much pressure on him too early. Let him grow into the first team over the year.

However, from the press conference today I don’t think we’ll see any more transfer activity in or out. Perhaps Bird and Jacob Brown would benefit from 6 months at a League 2 club if they were going to get plenty of minutes.

I'd stick with what we've got. I thought we needed another up front, but considering you could play Moncur behind a front man, Thiam could move central, then we have Jacob and Victor, maybe even Hedges when fit, in an emergency... I think we're fine.

Good to hear Winkler play down loans too. The one benefit being in this league, you can give your kids a chance. Something we don't always do in the Championship.

hope not ,Vesp77 . OK so its early days and we have got off to a flier, but the signs in pre-season and the openers are more than promising... I know its easy to 'knee jerk' in either direction , but it makes a wonderful change to many of our starts in recent years. I hope we take down Blackpool to go on a bit of a cup run and to maintain the winning ways. Then take out Wimbledon to continue the winning way.

I wouldn’t mind a pacy winger (who could also possibly play up front) coming in but I wouldn’t be disappointed if we don’t sign any. Just as long as we keep this squad!

A winger and a forward to add pressure for places would be good.

Possibly a quick winger for the left hand side, but that's only at a stretch. We have plenty of options all over the midfield and attacking positions. Victor must now be considered our third capable striker rather than just an option. That leaves Jacob Brown as cover and it's his chance to shine now. We can play Moncur up top if necessary, or just behind and he'll cause havoc. Izzy has been barely used and Hedges is still to come in later on, Thiam is flexible enough to cover if need be. I feel we should be comfortable enough in most games to use our own youngsters this season, forget developing another club's players. Our defence is fine as is, with great cover centrally. Pinillos and Fryers aren't ideal for me but will be good enough this season.

    Maybe 1. I'd say a striker or a winger.

Not unless someone moves out on loan with a view to a permanent signing in Jan

Depends if we pick up any long term injuries.

I think the harmony and balance looks ok right now and would worry any ‘need to play’ Prem loanees may upset that. Having said that squad wise maybe 1-2 could help but i would give it another couple weeks and unless the right player comes up then maybe no need

jan is the one we need to wait for when we will hopefully need a final push

    Probably not for me, no.

I felt that our biggest priority was a central midfielder and we’ve got that.

I guess my only concern would be up front if Moore or Bradshaw got injured. I think we could cope without Bradshaw but don’t really have any like for like replacement for Moore.
