    Not got a problem with sitting in home stands, so long as common sense is used. Obviously this doesn't apply to Leeds fans.

    Watching from the family stand I could see stewards wading in with punches. Not sure that's in their job description is it?

    One knocked a fan fan over with a punch and then looked to get a pasting.

    im not saying what's right or wrong but I don't believe all the stewards are innocent

    Just because it's sold out doesn't mean you sit in home end and act a ******** and think people will just let you crack on.... like I said they took 2500 to rovrum and nowt like that happened I wouldn't sit in the south stand at Elland road and celebrate us scoring... as for the steward should have left em to it I would

    It looked bad at the eaststand near the away end too even before the goal... and throwing flares on pitch suppose that was barnsley too super tyke

    Exact same question I'd ask! I was down at oakwell this morning to get a ticket for my dad and a few fans in the queue in front of me were asking for tickets in the east stand lower - When the assistants stated they would be given tickets near the ponty end as there 'wasn't many left' their tone changed and they asked to be sat at the opposite end 'next to the away fans'! I'm not staying they were all Leeds fans but some didn't have any booking history!

    This is no on if true as soon as their 1st went in quite a few near the away end in the esl jumped up at fighting broke out a few weeds even ran on pitch and over into the leeds end

    The club should not be selling tickets to anyone who doesn't have a booking history so I'm afraid the book stops with BFC!

    If that's what has actually happened then you're right. It could be that the tickets have been bought for them by Reds fans they know though. There isn't much the club can do to stop that happening. Further action could be taken against any Barnsley fans found to be responsible, like Rotherham are threatening to do. That may deter some doing the same in future.

    There were no tickets available for the section near the away end ESL and you couldn't buy a ticket on-line.
    The few who sat there were ST holders. In the past for local derbies these ST holders have had to move so that section nearest the away end is empty.

    dont know who's told you that,i'm a season ticket holder at the away end of the east stand lower and there were loads around us with matchday tickets,not season tickets.

    It's not just that though is it? We'd have a finished off ground that would look smart and might get us more events where especially in the summer months things could maybe happen at our ground. We could have many more corporate boxes to bring in money and more modern than our East Stand ones with balconies for a start. We'd have an improved press area and a brand new modern pair of directors boxes. We could put up a second scoreboard one that we should have replaced our old one with that would be huge and be paid for by sponsors. We'd have the space so Oakwell could be used more on non matchdays with wedding parties, business meetings, speeches or whatever else people wanted to hire Oakwell for. We'd could do after school clubs so local kids want to come to Oakwell and not support a plastic bigger club. It's not just about paying millions for a new stand so we can milk away support more.
