while i have think gay couples should be allowed to get married, I agree with your point. I guess the counter argument is that the church would be denying people marriage based on sexuality which, if this bill is passed, would be illegal. This isn't an anti-church thing as far as I can see. I understand that civil partnerships don't quite have the same legal rights as a marriage in the eyes of the law. I think the bill, if passed, would force registrars, the church, mosques etc to not deny someone the right to marry in their establishment. Would love to see it enforced in a mosque when islam forbids homosexuality. That would make the news

I will read that tomorrow but can't face it tonight!

Although an understanding of maths might allow me to be a god of sorts if we are all a computer simulation of the universe created by me

True. There's every chance all this could be a computer programme. In which case our God is Billy Jones in class 10C.

I don't understand that theory either but i did try. It was something to do with the plot of The Matrix, right?

That is not racist by the way, it is just good old fashioned stereo-typing.

Really enjoyed that, cheers. At the very least shows how religions or belief can come about, by someone expanding on what we know (or think we know) to fill in the unanswered gaps and form a narrative. I'm not sure whether that narrative makes me feel more or less significant though.

I think that's a bit unfair mate to be honest. I happen to disagree with Mario on this particular point, but as always he has put his case across very eloquently, and anyway his stance is hardly extreme. Two of my closest friends are gay, yet I have some quite serious reservations about gay adoption, which I am not going to go into here and now. Does that make me a bigot?
