I was a massive fan of Williams but Yiadom has been fine

Brownhill was only ever her to cover injury of scowern, who considerably better. Kept his place as you should never change a winning team

Kents gets more Assists and will get more goals than Isgrove but Isgroves work rate and tracking back was phenomenal

    Fletcher was implacable at times

Loved Brownhill for his free kicks and long shots, but Hourihane has taken over that duty just nicely anyway :D

MacDonald is playing out of his skin but Mawson was some player and offered us something different at the back. Fans are sometimes too quick to forget a departing player and I've seen plenty of 'Alfie Who?' comments.

I'd take Mawson everytime. But that's not a slant on MacDonald at all.

Yiadom, Fletcher and Kent hands down (at this current time). Morsy has only played 20+ minutes so a strange one to try and compare.

Would still love to have Brownhill, Isgrove and Fletcher. Not saying we haven't recruited well but they all would play a part this year if they were here.

Also Mawson was/is a brilliant defender. As good as McDonald had been Mawson and Roberts would still be our number 1 partnership.

We have recruited very very well. And hope we're already lining up a few more aces from the lower league come January 1st.

For me, we have a better squad of players. Not only that, but current players, who did well for us last season, have stepped up to the plate & are playing even better, for now, and against a higher quality of opposition.

    Definitely

You could argue the toss for the odd one in there (Fletcher being the obvious one) but yes we've replaced them all pretty seamlessly.

    Current impressions
Yiadom - good signing looks better than Williams though I am still sad we let him go - replaced well
Macdonald - looking good so far. Mawson wanted out and couldnt turn down prem offers when we had a replacement ready- replaced well
Kent pretty much a straight swap of one loanee for another would be happy with either - replaced well
    Morsy -too soon to tell
Fletcher I think was irreplacable but we replaced a loanee with our own player in Bradshaw and Armstrong looks a good loan signing - replaced well

No complaints on the replacement policy so far from me

We've replaced good players with other good players.

It's slightly disrespectful to say some are better than others as all have been fantastic players for BFC.

It's a 46 game season. Let's see if these lads can maintain current form and levels of physical performance.

I'd have Brownhill, Mawson and Fletcher in any team of mine - and that isn't knocking those lads currently playing in those positions. As we stand, not one individual has let himself down, and most have exceeded what could be realistically expected of them prior to the season, considering at what level most of our squad have spent their careers
