Top team top players but you have to think they just want it more than others. Watched them tonight and they do the basics really well and they have a system that seems go easy to play. On and off the ball. Well done to Zidane too.
But they all have money. Maybe 20 teams in Europe can spend million 200 this summer. They have an Ideal to buy players young and develop their own when possible. They get the buy back perfect now. Now people will criticise me whatever for this but look at that back 5. How much did that back 5 cost? Manchester City will have spent 150 millon on a back 5 i'd imagine in 3 months time if you include Stones
No.....no interest. Moneyball imo. You have posted some great links regarding politcs though...keep up the good work
Been a strange one with them. The one I was amazed wth was the Conservatives in South Kirby but there doesn't seem to be any TV coverage from that one. Seen since that they've been in the area lot but I'd be angry with the people that I live near if they got anywhere near.
Yer joking right ??? You didn't really mean that they win things because they want it more. If you actually did mean it - then you need to shake yer head. One thing wins that team trophies and it's called MONEY. Every problem or potential problem they have is solved by it. Spanish league is like most European leagues (and Scotland) - they are dull and boring because they are dominated by one or two powerful clubs. City in England the size of Madrid or Barcelona would have half a dozen clubs. Barcelona has just one club - one !!! In a huge city like that. No wonder they have huge support and funding. That's why English league is most competitive and best to watch in the world - because we have plenty of clubs and a large proportion of them can potentially win the league. Even Leicester.
Madrid does have half a dozen clubs: Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, CD Leganes, Rayo Vallecano, Getafe CF being the most notable.
Take a look at population size of urban area of Barcelona 4m+ compared to say Manchester 3m and Birmingham 2m then compare number/size of football teams in those areas. Espanyol average gate 20k in a urban area of 4m+. Barcelona is basically a one club city of 4m+. It cannot be compared to cities or urban areas in England like Manchester where there are equivalent rival clubs within the city or surrounding area.
CD Leganes are also in La Liga while the other 2 are in the 2nd division. So that must make Barnsley a pub team too?
But your quote was, "Barcelona has just one club - one !!! In a huge city like that." - Which is incorrect, as you've now realised by using Espanyol in your example. UE Sant Andreu are a 4th league team from Barcelona, but I guess they don't count either as they're in a "pub league"
