    Yes we will.
    But not this season.
No matter what division we are in next season.

Unfortunately no. We've lost too much ground. The players we are bringing in might well
improve the squad and could blend with what we've already got to steer us to safety.
To my mind our first target should be to get to the 50 point mark and see where we go
    from there.

Top half would be a minor miracle

Just to be clear the initial question was only meant as a light hearted contrast to the doom mongers

Going down I'm afraid. Squad looks messy and new players won't be able to integrate into a team capable of staying up in time. Starting to think more of next season. Currently I'd say we are a mid-table League One side.

Sadly agree with you on relegation. Disagree with you on mid table L1 though. Our defence (at L1 level) will probably be the best in the league. Our keeper will be top 5 in the league. Our forwards will definitely be top 10, probably top 5. Our only weak area is arguably midfield and a few signings in the summer will sort that. If we go down, we will get promoted the following year- I’m pretty sure of it.

Disagree , we're not going down IMO, we have too many decent players and a good spirit.

Relegation nailed on after spending nearly £5M on transfer and signing on fees.
If ever a Club deserved to go down you are now looking at it.
    What a plan!
    Who needs experienced Championship players.

We will stay up, in the same way Bristol City did last season.

I like your positivity mate, but 1 win in 15 and unable to score more than a single goal per game, if we score at all. I think we're 50/50 for the drop.

This. I like people's optimism but I think it's obscuring the facts, which you've outlined there. I'll start to become optimistic when we actually start winning games.

Factor in that our defenders have been responsible for most of our goals in the last month or so, and in that time we've conceded 4 at Millwall and 3 against both Villa and Fulham.

Teams around us playing games in hand tonight and a tricky game at the weekend for us as well.

It's hold onto your hats time.. . . Again.

The problem is people (particularly on here) instinctively react positively to positivity and negatively to negativity, regardless of how valid their view actually is. Makes people naturally post overly optimistic because they know they'll get plenty of plaudits, whereas the realistic and provable "we have won 1 game in 15" is seen as a bit of a WUM.

I agree with this to an extent.
