    Did you have a clean licence before that fella? I was always under the impression if you had a clean licence and weren't speeding excessively that they had to offer the speed awareness as an option but maybe it varies for different forces.

    If you do more than 10% plus 9 mph you aren't eligible and have to take points.

    I thought speed awareness courses were offered depending on the speed you were doing in the speed limit area, although I could be wrong. I got offered one for doing 56 mph in a 50, but anything over 60 mph I wouldn’t have been if I remember rightly

    Dorset coppers so not sure, got the NIP letter, sent back details and then they sent me the bad news! Had zero points but as above even though 65 is still in band A it’s right at the top
