Would love to see Stefan do well at Shrewsbury. Seems a top guy and they're a good club. Probably not quite up to Championship standard, but I reckon he'll do a job down there.

Another one due to leave today. Guessing it's Sessi.

Good luck to him. Think he could've offered something a bit different being physical this season but sounds like he wanted to go somewhere where he wanted to play regularly reading the interview on the Shrewsbury website. With Thiam to come in plus probably another, and the fact we may be playing 1 up top this season, his opportunities would've been very limited

Tuton perhaps? Hecky certainly doesn't mess about with players deemed surplus to requirements does he? No bad thing too

I think you could be right Runner. Bullet point headlines in today's Chronicle.
. Ghana international could play tomorrow but more bids possible.
. CEO Ganaye playing crucial role in attracting French players.
. Reds have had McBurnie loan deal in place for three months.
. Townsend and Sessi could leave but Mallan unlikely to be loaned out.

Main body of the article by Doug O'Kane says other Clubs are interested in Yiadom and he could leave before the end of
the transfer window. On McBurnie he says it's the worst kept secret. The player wants to come and he wants
him but he's providing cover at Swansea. Once they get the strikers in that they need, he'll be free to join us.

On Jason Lowe and Gary Gardner he has confirmed he is not trying to sign either but on the chances of new players
coming in, he comments " I don't want to be sat about on deadline day waiting for things to happen. I want to get things
done before then. Look at all the players we've sold, there's money there."

He's also confirmed that he's prepared to let Townsend and Sessi D'Almeida out on loan to get some game time.
On the subject of Stevie Mallan he says " I want to be working with Stevie because he won't get in our team if he's out
    on loan."

He sounds really excited to have Mamadou Thiam at the Club." He's five foot ten and has a low centre of gravity. He will shoot well with either foot. He can drop deep and link with midfielders and is explosive and if we can get him in the box more often, then I think we can improve his goal record. He's played out wide a lot because in France most teams play 4-3-3.
Towards the end of last season he played up front which is his preferred position and that's where we want him."

It was just bad luck/timing that we got promoted when he came in... Had half a Chance in L1...champ too big a step for him

I tend to agree, right place wrong time possibly. Although things could've been different if his effort that struck the post away at Huddersfield had nestled in the net and bagged us three points. Who knows, best of luck to the lad.

Yes I go along with all that, I thought we were onto something when he got all those goals at Weston Super Mare in the friendly, then the goals dried up all of a sudden. He wasn't given a fair chance because he probably wasn't good enough, similar to although slightly better than, both Tuton & K.Jackson.
Shrewsbury rated him from his previous loan spell so this is the best for all of us.
It does maybe free up a place up front, its got me guessing more now about the on-off McBurnie deal.

I can't help but think that us getting promoted was the worst thing for Payne.

If he'd have signed for us in a competitive League One side, maybe he'd have stepped up. Even better, if he'd have got a move up to League 2 the jump would have been easier. Maybe he would have scored 20 goals by January and get snapped up by Wigan for around £1 million, just like Omar Bogle.

Can't help but think his goal scoring momentum was stopped by us, and he would have been much better off going else where.

    NO !!!!
We are not fine at all.
Thiam and Hedges are wide players.
If we get McBurnie we will also need someone else that can do a similar job i.e. Tall strong centre forward

I thought Thiam was a striker who can also play on the wing?.

Stefan looked really promising up to him getting injured.
    Powerful striker.
    Good luck Stefan.

Thiam isn't a wide player hecky has said we signed him to play upfront. In regards hedges he can play either wide or up top if his goalscoring carries on give him a go up top worked for Henry at arsenal
