Got this off Tykestalk on Facebook so it's just that- rumours:

    - Stendel wanted to leave last week but board convinced him to stay
    - Was a whisker away from being Huddersfield management

Hopefully not true but I'd be gutted to see Stendel go

If this continues, I wouldn't be shocked if his agent gets him a move whilst his stock is still high.

Stoke can't be long before they sack their manager and would be prepared to pay more brass.

Could even go back to Germany.

He would be brilliant with a decent team.

Potters fan was telling a mate of mine that if they sack Jones, it's very likely
their next boss will be David Moyes.

He's been having talks with the Stoke board apparently.

Potentially bad for us if Stoke bring in a new man and start improving.

I don't believe either of those rumours tbh. He doesn't strike ne as a quitter. However he has asked for patience and thinks expectations are too high. And I agree with that. This team can and will improve, hopefully sooner rather than later

Wouldn’t believe anyone off tykes talk if they told me I had a hole in my arse.

Bunch of sh*t stirrers and flounders, much like here but we’re much better at it.

I can't believe you all think that you know the internal financial affairs of the club prompting the future I speak with fans all over the country with my job and bfc have got to be the worst at not getting behind the manager and team

I agree, hoping that we don't lose him this season & they back him in January with a few decent loans / signings. Not many managers stick around for more than 2 years, they are either sacked or move up to bigger, better paid jobs.

Would be a good signing for them. Not good for us, I want them to keep Jones, he's clearly lost the dressing room there.

Stendel is a breath of fresh air and I’d be very surprised if clubs up and down the country aren’t looking at him. He’s not going to be here forever under these owners. I’d be gutted if he did go to stoke I think he’s better than that.

However if he did decide to go there, we could do much worse by appointing who they are about to sack. Jones hasn’t become a bad manager over night, he’s just working with a bunch of players who probably feel they’re better than him and don’t wanna be at that club. I obviously want Stendel to be here long term. But if he did go stoke I wouldn’t mind Jones coming the other way.

Stendel will stay until the end of the season and then go home to Germany in my opinion. His being separated from his wife and kids for 2 years must be very difficult. I can't see him wanting to take another job in the UK and extend that separation. He'll want to use his experience gained to get a decent job in the German leagues.

    AS A MANAGER, yes.
A coach with us on our terms, no.
