Agreed. We've had over 200 attempts on goal in 12 games. That's about 17 efforts per game. We've scored 26 goals and conceded just 9. Whichever way you look at it it's top form.
Moncur is a brilliant player. Second goal set up was L1 Messi. Sadly he's never played two halves of football. I really want him to do it, but he is unable to play 90 minutes. Today was a prime example. Lord Lucan in last 30.
I hope the consortium are going to keep the squad and maybe strengthen a little in January... I hope they see not to dismantle as happened in the past. I think the Goat and Stendel will have shown them enough for them to back them up.... And I think they will too....
i know i'll probably get panned for this, but isn't this just 'big fish little pond'? is this largely the same set of players we all agreed just weren't good enough at Championship level? i think it's brilliant that the team are putting smiles on faces again. but it's division 3.
What impresses me the most about Stendel is his use of subs. They always seem to make a positive impact and change the game in some way.
We were way good enough to stay up last season. We had too many young players & not enough experience. We had Hecky sell his soul. CU8T & Morais. Holy ****.
I think that they were good enough, but only marginally..... too many wasted chances. I also think that had they stayed up then a bit of an overhaul would have been needed.
We only went down on the last game & I think everyone would agree we appointed a moron? Not to worry. We will be champions this season.
