I think his first signing was his contract (I’m only kidding)

I think I he will bring in a fellow player from his former club

 

I think he'll bring in an English laiker from abroad!

If yer listen to half of um on here - he won’t be signing anyone because he is the Head Coach.
And as such he will have players thrust upon him.
Thrusting players onto a coach is a cockeyed way of looking at things - IMO it’s all ballax

He won't bring in anyone as he's only a head coach.

 

If he was involved in signings wouldn't he be in our employ from the moment he signed the contract, so he can begin the process of identifying what we need, what is available etc? He doesn't actually take up his position until July 1st, the day before the players return for pre-season training, the day we need a coach at the club.

I don't know how our recruitment process works, but that is the biggest indication to me that he's going to play very little part in it.

 

He doesn’t officially start until the 1st of July because that’s when all contracts start from and he still has contractual obligations to Hannover, don’t ask me what they are but that’s what one of their fans said.

 

He was dismissed by Hannover in March 2017, over a year ago.

Possible I suppose, but he's not allowed to take up another position for over 15 months? Never heard of anything like that before. It doesn't sound realistic.

 

I know I found that quite funny, but if that's what they say is up then I believe them. I think it may be to do with the pay off of sacking him, I've heard of some clubs putting stipulations in manager's contracts that they can't apply for new jobs until a certain time period is up even after being sacked.

 

You might be right, I don't know, but I would have thought it was unlawful to keep someone out of work for 15 months.

I’d have thought same but I think it’s to do with amount of compensation if they take another job on a certain timescale

 

it maybe sorting family stuff { don't know if he's got one) or his living arrangements just the usual loose ends on a move to another country, but you can bet he's watching a lot of dvd's on the players

 

The part he’ll play in it will be this, for example:

Stendel - I need another right winger and WingerX and WingerZ would be good.
Ganaye - ok leave it with me I’ll see if I can get one of them.

Then Ganaye goes away and consults with the owners - to see if the player is reasonably priced - and if he is, then how they can attract the player to the club.
It’s as simple as that.
Exciting times ahead.

 

So we’ve completely changed our rectruitment process and strategy? Interesting. Did the club communicate this out or was it just a call to let you know so you could share it on here? Much appreciated though.
