    Can't believe this...

I have never met him but have read many of his posts.

I can't honestly think of the last time I felt so high and then seem to go right down again.

my own news over the last few days doesn't compare to this sad loss...

    RIP Steve

SteveS we have lost a special person

I have just re-read Steve's post and was even more moved now then the first time. Find it difficult to know what to say about the man. Words are not enough.
But it is clear we have lost a special, brave man

    A sad loss

I don't post replies to threads about people who I've have had little contact with on the board, or who I knew nothing of. I think it's fair to say from the number of people who have replied, you couldn't come on this board and read Steve's posts without having admiration for him. He seemed like a geniunely decent bloke who had some heavy stuff to deal with but was making the most of it and getting on with things. While I probably didn't exchange many posts with him, I read his dairy whenever I saw it. He'll be missed.

    RIP mate

Missed this - web connection packed in at weekend.

I guess we all knew Steve was fighting the devil and there was only ever going to be one outcome.  But hopefully those close to him will take some comfort in the safe knowledge that he gave the bástard one hell of a run for his money.

A pleasant, insightful and deeply courageous man. A sad, sad loss.
