Special mention for this lads performance yesterday. I’ve seen enough already to be optimistic he will continue to progress with us

Ran himself into the ground and had pace to boot.

Played the correct pass and his set pieces will cause all sorts of problems

I just don't understand why he wasn't played from the beginning

    The beginning of...?

He may have needed some time to get up to speed. But he most definitely seems to be now.

Great to see him. The way he has been introduced to the first team is probably how most of our signings should have been introduced - slowly. But needs dictated the likes of Potts, McCarthy and Pearson were thrown straight in against class teams and players. Hopefully in the long run it will do them all good, but it must have been hard.

Hope Mallan goes from strength to strength - was the signing I was most excited about. No specific reason why. I just like players who can keep you on the edge of your seat and all the highlights suggested he was that kind of player.

How you can compare McCarthy with Potts and Pearson is ludicrous.

A worry with Mallan is that he was signed on a 2 year deal.. Can see him getting up to speed this season and being a core player next season, just to hold all the cards next January like so many before him.. Can't wait to be told the club couldn't have done anything when it inevitably happens yet again.

Had a decent game against Preston then out for a few games then back no doubt only because Williams out. Deserves to keep his place and should with Gardner and Williams missing but then what.
Has a knack of reading the game and being in the right place also decent set piece ....... give him a run

I thought so, the summer signings were all on better contracts than before, praise to the club for addressing it.

He’s been given time to get up to speed given how far in standard he’s had to come. He’s also had to add a lot to his game to be worth playing.

The lad seems to have taken it on board, worked hard and is now reaping the rewards.

I thought he played well against Preston & had a very good performance yesterday , lets hope that if we do sign more midfielders this window, it does not hamper his progress & he continues to get game time
