    Why have we got a steward who resides in the corner between the Ponty and East stand going round spoiling the view for some fans and terrorising kids telling them if they keep on singing he can get them banned? Now the kid is too scared to go back to Oakwell because he doesn’t want to be banned.

    There’s another case of a Barnsley fan on twitter saying shes been targetted twice by stewards either insulting or upsetting her to the point where she’s not wanting to go to a game again this season.

    What’s going off like?

    To be fair her complaint is that she didn't like the way a steward looked at her (he didn't say anything to her she just didnt like the way he looked) and that she for 'the last three years' she 'can't stand' the volunteer on the door at Redfearns

    Problems with stewards in the away end too.....



    Hope we get in touch with them and offer the family VIP whenever they next play us at Oakwell. We don't stop people smoking in toilets or standing up blocking views. But let's pick on a easy target little kid that's got a tiny flag around his back, who's probably never watched his team at Oakwell before and probably doesn't want to come back.

    Kid could have easily smuggled that tiny flag in no questions asked. Our stewards are bullies that pick on the wrong people. They should tell people to sit down and go in the gents to throw out anybody smoking as both those incidents are far worse. But they wouldn't be able to hack the abuse that they wouldn't get going after a child.

    For crying out loud. You might as well ask him if he's got a fire certificate for his coat too.
    How about those cheesy, tacky flags that we have kids lining up to wave as the players come onto the pitch? Have we got fire certs for them too? I'd hazard a guess they're made of the same stuff.
    I get that we may be held hostage by heavy handed regulations but this sort of thing is, frankly, laughable.

    I'm getting mad at the stupidity of denying entry to a little kid who has a flag that's totally innocuous. How do all the rest of the flags get in the ground anyway? Do they all have their own fire certificates?

    Stewards asking for fire certificates has happened for years, got a fake one for my flag. Got asked for it at Pompey and steward was shocked that I had one.
