Could do a lot worse than him as head coach. Always seems to be involved with teams that play good football and very experienced.

He was certainly a classy player for us.

I would be ok with that. Much better than Grayson

Arguably the best left-sided player I've seen play for Barnsley.

I agree he was a brilliant player, we've had a few good left backs though, I loved Beresford, Thomson and Barnard.
I do think Gray would be perfect as a head coach though.

Love the idea of a former Red taking over again.

Trouble we have is we’ve been spoilt over the years at left back. Just in the last ten years we’ve seen masterclasses from

Tininho, mounir el haimour, Dominick Werling, Tom Kennedy, Jay McCeverly, Jim McNulty and Callum Elder.

Good point.... I must be the only one that liked Werling.

Especially one that's got a decent pedigree of coaching, if it is an head coach that we're after.

Now the play-offs are coming to an end, it's take your pick time. Is that why the delay in appointment and announcement? Paul Hurst? Steve Agnew? Stuart Gray? Paul Warne? Paul Tisdale? They've all done well enough to get to play-offs and maybe one, or two of our preferred options are from that list. I hope so. The only one who doesn't fit the age profile is Mark Robins, but I would have him back given how well he has got a very young Coventry side playing.

I thought Mark Robins was the best coach we had during our previous stint in the championship and a great pity that he and Cryne couldn’t resolve their differences. As for Stuart Gray yes we could do worse, but that’s not saying much is it? Would be an underwhelming if save choice

I loved Werling. He was a terrible defender but he kicked a ball hard.

Shame it didn’t work out for him at Hereford after he left us.

I remember seeing him in a league cup game early on in the season and he was taking 1 step corners but still blasting them in and it made me take notice.

And then, of course, that free kick he scored. Plymouth at home was it?

Robins' football made me want to fall asleep, in the main, but he sure got results.
