Substitution policy

    Does anyone else have difficulty in understanding our substitution policy. It seemed to me that both McGeechan and Barnes had been out of puff for a long time due to the amount of effort they had put in before they were substituted for Bird and Hedges. I don't see why we wait so long so regularly. For the last few minutes we seemed much fresher.

    I think Potts was carrying a knock (again) since about the 40th minute, and I think we were trying to stick with him as long as possible too. Probably Hecky didn't want to make too many changes knowing full well that eventually Potts could run out of steam.
