Oulton Hall (Leeds) or Shrigley Hall (Cheshire) 1 hour in car

Both De Vere Hotels - you can get cracking deals - ring De Vere direct & ask them what they'll do on a deal. Or try Hotel Connexions - ask them what this weeks deals are on hotels in the area. Hotels with nice grounds, swimming pools/ sauna etc, golf also. Belton Woods also got good golf course. The first two a bit more "traditional" than Belton Woods.

soz to correct you - shrigley hall golf and country club is part of the paramount group of hotels - i work for them so i might just be correct on this 1

 

try Redworth hall mossman - part of the paramount group - loads of offers on at the mo

In the end I haven't gone with any of them, i could have stayed in yorkshire for nearly a grand.....instead we're off to Holland for the weekend for &pound;760! Good old jet 2 and Holiday Inn. Stopping in Leiden so will have a day out in The Hague, and a day in Amsterdam - spot on </p>
