Yes but then we had issues with Wednesday and leeds fans so they reduced the allocation

It was reduced after the Leeds game last year. Presumably after the trouble in that corner.

Although it could be an initial allocation either.

Years ago Sunderland filled the North Stand and the West Stand Northern Lower Tier .
    I don't recall any problems .

Think it's to do with evacuating the stand on safety grounds or so I heard . They are allowed so many minutes to empty stand , so have had to drop capacity

So that must mean theres a design fault with the north stand then presumably because theres no such restrictions on the east or south stands, the amount of revenue this must be losing us though because of it could run into 100's of thousands in the championship because above a 1/3 of teams would bring more than 4600 given the chance

I really don't understand it. We went to Derby last season, 30,000 in the stadium and just a line of stewards between our fans and the Derby fans! We are allowed to fill the away end at Sheff Wed, you couldn't get out of that old end quickly when full, it's a right bottle neck! Away teams should be allowed at least 5000 in our end, really should be up to 5500 really!!! It's costing us £1000s of pounds. The block what we have to leave at the far end of the East Lower is a joke as well!

Not sure , maybe regulations and more restrictions because it's away stand

That's their allocation as asked for. They could have another 1,200.

    Here we have it.

    That makes 5800.

Near on capacity of the stand. So we don't appear to have any restriction of that stand. Except likely bottom corners and front row it seems

We did last season, Newcastle had 5500 and sold out within days of going on sale and wasn't allowed anymore. Then it went down for Leeds and down again for Sheff Wed and got below 5000!

I remember it well. Must've been 10,000 of them turned up in town. The ones in Glasshouse had tattoos, skinheads and scars, yet were the nicest bunch you could meet and enjoy a pint with. They kept offering us £100+ for our season tickets that day.
